He will always remind me of my childhood and the King of Pop mania--forget the scandals, and listen to the music. So shocking and surreal.

Another blog..
Since May 11th, I have been taking a six week summer class for my graduate program--Emerging Media-Web 2.0. Here's a link to it for reading pleasure...all assignments that I do I post, along with anything else "web 2.0"ish I find.
Love to have comments on that page as well!

Life Update
Life Update:
-First year of graduate school completed. Now taking summer school classes...
-Skirt mag blog is pretty much dead in the water.
-Job has been up and down, but looking better on the horizon.
-Have been getting myself emotionally and spiritually healthier, work in progress.
-Will be doing some traveling and concert going this summer, hopefully doing more in Memphis that I've wanted to do--Memphis Farmer's Market, Zoo, more concerts, plays, museum, restaurants. I need to change my outlook on the city, and do more than complain about it.
-Getting more into Twitter. Follow me! FrenchAGD82.
Pretty much it...summer is about to begin, my part time photo job is winding down, and I don't have youth group meetings anymore, just softball games to attend. I will be going to Bluffton, SC July 12th-19th with our junior high group with Catholic Heart Work Camp. 75 13 and 14 year olds...pray for us all!!

Skirt! Magazine has a new recruit...
Yikes, seven months without a posting...2009 has started out pretty well-I'm in a play at my school/work("All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten"), and a magazine called Skirt! has given me the stamp of approval to join their blogging team! So, please add this URL to your blog list:
memphis.skirt.com/blog, and then look for FrenchAGD82...c'est moi. I'm just starting out, so, need some ideas!

On ne sait jamais...
From June 26th-July 11th, I was in France, parler francais et painting with my school's art teacher and five students(who just graduated). I made a blog, not only for the anxious parental units, but as free advertising for future(hopefully) artisans. I really hope there is a group next year, because it was such an amazing opportunity...
Here's the blog:

Random Thoughts...
After being back from my France vacation, I realized I haven't blogged in a while...
I'll post pictures of my France trip in the next few days. All of them are on Facebook.
End of summer is near-school year begins August 13th, with the rest of the staff and faculty returning August 5th. I just have to walk over to our auditorium, since I'm at school 24/7. I'm ready for the next year. I've found a groove, and I think my attitude has gotten better towards the staff, and the students. I'm wanting to work on more patience, thinking before speaking, and having a better outlook everyday. With more and more sadness on the news, and in our city, it's the least I can do. I had lunch recently with a great friend who gave me advice about working towards bettering myself. I think about others too much, and myself less. I'm giving myself a year. If I am still feeling stagnant...gotta roll the dice.
So, here is something to think about:
"Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort me and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger." --St. Patrick

My Best Friend's Wedding
Pictures courtesy of Russell Hayes...

Laurie made this infamous Memphis mayor's campaign slogan for an out of town groomsmen...yes, our mayor DID say this.

Alpha Gam's after singing to Amy...
Last bridesmaid duties of the season...as of right now. My bff Amy Jackson married her longtime boyfriend, Wade Stack, May 10th in Memphis. It was a great, stress free day, and we all had a great time. It poured rain, but isn't that supposed to be a sign for good luck? Anyway, here are a few pictures...a few more summer weddings!

Happy Tax Day!

1. Today is Tax Day--thanks Uncle Sam for the tax refund, then making me pay some of it back!
2. I moved into my apartment March 20th--still getting use to the people around me, and just generally decorating. Things are coming together, but still need a few more things.
3. Few more weddings to attend--one this weekend of a childhood and highschool friend. I have bridesmaid duties May 10th...which reminds me of picking up the bmaid dress...
4. Back to Bikram yoga today...maybe...yes..I have to!
5. When did it become the middle of April??? Summer will be here, students will be leaving, graduating, and then I am off to France for two weeks--booyah.
